Overview
The global nature of today’s marketplace demands a new type of graduate: One
that is equipped with the fundamentals of market economies and multivalent
forces that shape the operating environments of organisations, both nationally
and internationally.
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of general business and
management principles in a contemporary and international context, across a
complete spectrum of disciplines. It develops in-depth understanding and
nurtures essential skills vital for career advancement in a global business
environment.
Learning Outcomes
The course is designed to integrate a deep understanding of the subject matter
with the development of key skills and competencies, allowing students to adapt
to a rapidly changing, dynamic, and competitive global marketplace. Upon
completion of the course, students will be able to:
► Demonstrate knowledge of concepts and procedures related to business
functions and processes.
► Evaluate the legal, social and economic environments of business.
► Apply industry- and discipline-specific tools to the analysis of targeted
international business opportunities and challenges.
► Identify the ethical obligations and responsibilities of business.
► Analyse human capital dynamics and management tactics in cross-cultural
and international environments.
